Jerrita Staehr

Workshop Facilitator, Nebraska District

Jerrita Staehr has been involved in a variety of areas in Lutheran education since 2000 and spent the majority of her classroom teaching career as a middle school language arts instructor. She began her role at Concordia University, Nebraska, in 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Education and Director of Field Experience. She received a B.A. degree in English and Lutheran Teacher Diploma from Concordia University, Nebraska, and graduated with a M.A. in teaching from Missouri State University. Currently, she is enrolled in the doctoral program at Concordia, Chicago.

Over the years, Jerrita has sought ways to integrate technology into the classroom learning experience. TEC21 is a program, she says, that equips teachers to empower students to utilize a variety of digital tools and technology in innovative ways. “Clearly, TEC21 helps educators prepare future leaders to be divergent thinkers and skilled problem-solvers.”
