Corey Nelson has taught at Rochester Central Lutheran School for 19 years at every age level. Currently, he teaches advanced math in 6th to 8th grades and technology/innovation to PreK-8th. Corey also coordinates the school library, leads two math teams and the Lego Robotics program, and offers several after-school groups. Corey graduated from Concordia-Seward in 1993 with a B.S. in elementary education/math. He finished his M.A. in reading instruction in 1998 at Saginaw Valley State University.
In addition to responsibilities at RCLS, Corey also works extensively with NLSA visiting teams in southern Minnesota. He is one of the leaders of the youth group at Grace Lutheran Church. Corey has always pursued innovation in education. He says TEC21 presents a wonderful platform on which to discover new ways to collaborate and innovate through technology.
