Workshop Facilitator, Nebraska District
Cassie graduated from Concordia University, Chicago in 2013 and has since taught at Lutheran schools in Arizona and Indiana. She currently teaches middle school language arts and social studies at St. John Battle Creek. She considers herself to be a professional development junky and enjoys attending conferences along with listening to podcasts and reading books about education. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in reading specialist through Concordia University, Nebraska.
Cassie has seen first-hand how technology can transform a classroom. Everyday her students are using technology to research, connect and create. While a lot of the content she teaches may focus on events or authors from our past, she has found that technology allows her with her students to breathe new life into old things. Cassie looks forward to being part of the TEC21 family “to collaborate with my peers and equip teachers to unlock all the potential that is sitting right at their fingertips.”
