Devotion
PSALM 46
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields with fire.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Digital Storytelling
Here is an October project to share with students of all ages!
Students can “build” their own jack-o-lantern with this fun and educational Google Slides activity. This is a great way for students to be creative and to work on their writing skills by describing or writing about their Jack-O-Lantern. Click here to get the template. Make sure to make a copy!
Here is an easy way for young students to tell a story! (Groups of 3)
Paper Slide Storytelling – digital storytelling tool that allows students to record and create stories using paper images that are moved while being recorded. Here is a video that explains the steps using the paper-slide technique.
Here is s guide to help students create “I Am From” stories.
Create an “I Am From” story about you. This will include where you are from, something about your family, and some of the key phrases and events that have shaped your life. Use the student sample below and Adobe Spark Video to create your story.
