 Devotion

I am so thankful for all of you and wanted to share a few videos about thanking a teacher. Thank You!

Here is a devotional entitled More Problems More Power. I thought this was fitting for the end of the school year as we run the race to finish.

Goals

1. Understand the value of being both a consumer and a contributor in your professional learning network.

2. Commit to being a connected, resourceful life-long learner.

3. Celebrate each other’s TEC21 achievements through today’s mini-conference format.

Here are some ways TEC21 facilitators and teachers connect online to further build and strengthen their professional learning network:

Twitter: Follow @TEC21_LuthEd the facilitators and many other educators who have embraced this powerful communication tool. Follow and use these hashtags #TEC21lcms & #LuthEd when tweeting!

Facebook: Stay connected with everyone by engaging with TEC21 Educators going all the way back to “Season 1”. What a wonderful way to receive a life-time of support from one another. Also, please help us get the word out to as many teachers as possible about the TEC21 Workshop Program by “Liking” us on the TEC21 Facebook Page

Pinterest

Pinterest: Follow TEC21’s collaborative board and we’ll invite you to pin along with hundreds of other teaches on the shared board! If you don’t receive an invitation, be sure to let one of the facilitators know so we can add you as a collaborator.

Instagram

Instagram: Follow TEC_21 so you can enjoy the fun pics taken at our workshop centers from year to year.

Examine the marvels of Islamic architecture, visit mosques, tombs, palaces of sultans, museums, inns, baths, castles, towers, old houses, squares, parks, nature, religious sites, ancient cities, space and other places with more than a thousand 360 degree panoramic images in high quality.

HP Reveal (formerly Aurasma) changes the way we interact with the physical world. Discover augmented reality (AR) experiences, create your own AR, and share the magic with friends.

Buncee is a creation and presentation tool for students and educators to create interactive classroom content, allowing learners of all ages to visualize concepts and communicate creatively.

This site allows you to create a free website exactly the way you want.  My son just used this to do a book report and it was stunning.  You can add photos, video and audio.

This collection of math-based games is perfect for younger students. Aligned with Common Core standards the games are separated by grade and topic. Students will enjoy learning while playing interesting games. The games test timetables, fractions, and other mathematical concepts.

Free ebooks for beginning readers. Great practice for over the summer. Books available in 35 languages.

Take a virtual tour of Washington’s State Parks.  The site lets you see a panorama view.  This is a great way to let students explore a different state than their own!

A wide of variety of FREE activities, lesson plans, videos, games, etc. that align with the Next Gen Science Standards.

An excellent resource for teaching science.  The Smithsonian website includes games, lesson ideas and an “on this day” in science resource and more.

This video “The SAMR Model Explained By Students” was created to give teachers a broad overview of Ruben R. Puentedura’s SAMR framework for technology integration.

Vocabulary.com isn’t a flashy website full of images, but it does allow you to create quizzes to help your students study.

This guide provides 20 digital classroom activity ideas based on the engagement hooks found in the book “Teach Like a Pirate” by Dave Burgess.

Do fun stuff with your digital photos. Big Huge Labs helps you to create a variety of photo presentations such as motivational posters, calendars, movie posters, magazine covers, badges, mosaics, collages and more!

Dear TEC21 Teachers,

As educators, we all know how hard it is to keep up with the needs of students. TEC21 recognizes the extra effort it takes to learn, stretch and grow to provide Technology Enriched Classrooms. We applaud every school who has given the green light to allow teachers to participate in our workshops, and every teacher who has stepped outside his or her comfort zone to be vigorously challenged. Our goal with you is a contagious classroom full of motivated students.

You have earned this badge. We have provided it in two sizes each for school administrators and teachers. We hope you’ll proudly display it on your school website or personal classroom website.

Thank you for making a TEC21 classroom a badge of honor.

Serving Him with you,

The TEC21 Facilitators
