Facebook: Stay connected with everyone by engaging with TEC21 Educators going all the way back to “Season 1”. What a wonderful way to receive a life-time of support from one another. Also, please help us get the word out to as many teachers as possible about the TEC21 Workshop Program by “Liking” us on the TEC21 Facebook Page!
Pinterest: Follow TEC21’s collaborative board and we’ll invite you to pin along with hundreds of other teaches on the shared board! If you don’t receive an invitation, be sure to let one of the facilitators know so we can add you as a collaborator.
Instagram: Follow TEC_21 so you can enjoy the fun pics taken at our workshop centers from year to year.

Little or No Prep Tools & Resources
Thingiverse Education provides over a hundred free lessons that make teaching with a 3D printer easier and more effective for a variety of grade levels and subjects. It also provides a community where educators can exchange best practices or remix projects.
Created for kids in grades Pre-K through 8, Funbrain.com has been the leader in free educational games for kids since 1997. Funbrain offers hundreds of games, books, comics, and videos that develop skills in math, reading, problem-solving and literacy
In a whimsical land called Noomia, kids collect resources, add them, regroup, and subtract when they buy supplies to accomplish various tasks. As they progress, new areas and challenges unlock, and numbers get larger.
Skills: addition, subtraction, grouping
Looking for engaging ways to introduce your child to reading or to encourage your teen to write? Need some age-appropriate book suggestions or rainy day activities? The materials here are your answer—all of them created by experts to be fun, educational, and easy to use outside of school.
100% Free, Personalized Learning for Every StudentCreate digital classrooms, customize textbooks, and learn K-12 STEM concepts.
Marble Math: In this fantastic app, kids see math problems — such as “Collect fractions that add up to 2” — at the top of the screen and then navigate through a maze with a marble to pick up answers to the problem.
Skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, Roman numerals, decimals, negative numbers, and more
Motion Math Cupcake (now part of the Motion Math app): For their new bakery, kids must design, name, and make cupcakes. As they take orders and deliver them, kids do the basic math that comes with the territory of buying and selling.
Skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, arithmetic, counting, fractions, graphing
Prodigy Math Game: After choosing an avatar, kids earn spells by completing math problems and use them to defeat monsters. Along the way kids can earn other rewards, and the game adapts to a kid’s skill level.
Skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting, equations, fractions, functions, geometry, numbers, probability, ratio, statistics
Sushi Monster: Kids playing Sushi Monster work in reverse to solve addition and multiplication problems. Each round begins with a set of target numbers. The chef puts numbered plates of sushi on the counter, and kids must choose the correct combination of plates to meet the target, thereby feeding the sushi monster.
Skills: addition, multiplication
Bookshare is an outstanding online library of digital books for kids with print disabilities. Bookshare membership is available to kids who provide proof of their print disability, such as blindness or low vision, a learning disability, or a physical disability that makes it difficult or impossible to read standard print.
Game Classroom features dozens of games that reinforce math and language lessons, grouped by grade level and topic. Many of the games are housed on sites from companies like Scholastic and PBS, but kids can play them within the Game Classroom browser. Because the games come from other sources, their instruction level varies. Some include hints and additional information; others don’t. To increase the education factor, Game Classroom also offers videos, worksheets, and other reference materials on topics such as fractions and spelling.
Enchanted Learning is an old-timer on the Internet scene and may not have a lot of the bells and whistles that kids expect, but it does have excellent educational activities, printables, games, and links to even more recommended content. While most of the content is free, it is a member-supported site. If you pay to join, you’ll get access to a banner-ad-free version of the site plus printer-friendly pages and exclusive content.
Smashing Grammar is an educational grammar game with six arcade-style games. Kids select a game — from plurals to verb tenses — and then tap the correct answers. Gameplay stops when the timer runs out and continues to the next level if the goal score was met. If not, kids can play again or quit. High scores are tracked, but there’s no registration required to track it.
Write About This is filled with images and prompts to inspire kids to write. Prompts and images are appropriate for all ages, with increasing depth and complexity at higher levels. Additionally, kids or parents can create new prompts using their own images and ideas. Write About This can help kids who struggle with written expression as they are given a prompt with a picture to help automaticity. Kids can also record their voices to help with their expressive language. Work is composed and saved within the app; kids can share their compositions via email.
LeVar Burton Kids Skybrary is an app (and a site) that offers a library of books to users, themed according to a child’s interests (action adventures, magical tales, etc.). Kids can choose to have a book read aloud to them or to read the book themselves. To use it beyond the one-month free trial, however, you’ll have to subscribe to the app: about $5 for one month, or $40 for a year — all on a recurring basis.

Dear TEC21 Teachers,
As educators, we all know how hard it is to keep up with the needs of students. TEC21 recognizes the extra effort it takes to learn, stretch and grow to provide Technology Enriched Classrooms. We applaud every school who has given the green light to allow teachers to participate in our workshops, and every teacher who has stepped outside his or her comfort zone to be vigorously challenged. Our goal with you is a contagious classroom full of motivated students.
You have earned this badge. We have provided it in two sizes each for school administrators and teachers. We hope you’ll proudly display it on your school website or personal classroom website.
Thank you for making a TEC21 classroom a badge of honor.
Serving Him with you,
The TEC21 Facilitators
