Kelly Carstens
Workshop Facilitator, Missouri District/Southern Illinois District

Kelly has been a teacher at Immanuel Lutheran School in Perryville, Missouri, for 11 years, and while she has worn many hats in her service, her passion is teaching middle-school science and technology. She graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a Middle Level Endorsement in general science and PE/health education. In 2014, she earned her M.N.S. in Science Education.

As a former TEC21 participant, Kelly discovered the value of this program—and the use of technology—firsthand; she implemented many of the topics, apps and websites in her classroom to the benefit of her students. As a facilitator, she looks forward to the opportunity to spark the imaginations of participants, bolster their confidence in using technology, and provide the encouragement teachers often need when trying something new!
