Denny has a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction Emphasis from San Diego State University. Cumulatively, he’s taught 23 years at Christ Lutheran School in La Mesa, Calif., where he currently serves as science and computer teacher. In the middle of his bookend 11- and 12-year stints at Christ Lutheran, he taught 6th- and 8th-grade science at Hong Kong International School for 18 years, and middle school science at AMBRIT International School in Rome, Italy, for two years.
As a facilitator for TEC21, Denny’s desire is to assist other Lutheran educators in using current technology to enhance what they’re already doing. A believer in life-long learning, he’s committed to help develop new strategies for creative 21st-century learning. He was named 2013 Pacific Southwest District Elementary school educator of the year.
